West Bengal Civil Service.
Every Year, WBCS Exam Conducted by West Bengal Public Service Commission. WBPSC is a Recruitment Agency by West Bengal Government.
WBCS Eligibility 2022
The Eligibility Criteria as per official Notice is given below. Here, we are sharing every information which followed by Official Notification-
Education Qualification: Any degree from a recognized university. Applicants should read and speak Bengali. ( not required whose mother tongue is Nepali).
WBCS Age Limit
For All Post ( Except Group B) age limit for WBCS details is below here -
The Lower Age Limit: 21 yrs
The Upper Age Limit: 36 yrs
Group B Age Limit: Age not below than 20 years. The upper Age limit for Group B Post is 36.
All Post's age limit is count from 01/01/2022.
Age Relaxation: The WBCS Age Relaxation as per rules by Government ( SC /ST -5 yrs and OBC - 3 Yrs).
Only For Group B Post: Minimum Height requirement is 1.65 meters for Male and Female Candidates 1.50 meters.

Exam fees 210/- ( Two Hundred Ten only) for all Un Reserve, OBC, EWS Category. You can pay online via debit card, credit card, net banking ( Debit Card + Credit Card service Charge - 5/- and Net Banking Service Charge - 20/-)
For SC / ST / PH: No fees ( Only for West Bengal Candidates)

WBCS 2022 Selection Process
As per official Notification, in the post, we are discussing the Selection Process for West Bengal Civil Service Exam. The selection process is conducted by some steps -
1. Preliminary Exam: First, the preliminary exam will be conducted in February 2021 ( Tentative). This is an MCQ type and computer-based exam.
2. Main Exam: Preliminary Exam Qualified candidates will be participating in Main Exam. WBCS Main Exam consists of Six Compulsory paper and Two Optional Paper ( Only for Group A, & Group B Category)
3. Interview: After The Main Exam, the Personal Interview will be held by West Bengal Public Service Commission.
- Group ‘A’ & ‘B’ 200 Marks
- Group ‘C’ 150 Marks
- Group ‘D’ 100 Marks
4. Medical Exam: Final Selected Candidates will require the Medical & Fitness Test before the Joining.

2. Is there any Negative Marking in WBCS Preliminary and Main Exam?
Yes. There is negative marking in West Bengal Civil Service Prelim & Main Exam. But Negative Marking ratio does not mention in Official Notice.
3. Is Bengali Subject compulsory for all Group of WBCS Main Exam?
Yes. Bengali is compulsory for all Groups in Main Exam.
4. Is the Optional Subject is mandatory for All WBCS Group Category?
No. Optional Subject is only for WBCS Group A & Group B Category. The candidates who are appearing for Group C & D service is not mandatory Optional Subject.
5. Is WBCS Main exam is MCQ Based?
Compulsory Paper - 1 & Paper-II : Conventional Type Others Compulsory Subject: MCQ Optional Subject : Conventional Type.
6. What Is the Age Limit For WBCS 2022?
